本次会议由中国农业科学院、中国植物保护学会和湖北省农业科学院主办，会议旨在制定创新和综合的解决方案，促使利益攸关方在食品和饲料生产中持续有效地管理真菌毒素。
近年来，随着全球气候变暖、耕作制度变化以及产毒真菌的分化，真菌毒素污染日趋严重，给全球食品安全和经济贸易造成极大挑战。Mycokey是中国国家重点研发计划和欧盟地平线2020计划共同支持的政府间国际合作专项。
本次会议为政府、科研人员和企业搭建了学术交流平台，来自中国、意大利、奥地利、美国、日本等多个国家的专家学者就真菌毒素监测预警与田间防控、产毒真菌多样性与监测、产毒真菌功能基因组学、真菌毒素检测技术、收获后毒素治理、食品加工与毒理学等进行了深入研讨与交流，并发表讲话。
在18日午后的会议分会场上，来自百奥明研究中心的研究总监Gerd Schatzmayr发表了演讲报告——《植物乳杆菌对黄曲霉生长和产黄曲霉毒素的抑制作用》
此次会议的召开，为国内外交流和讨论真菌毒素综合治理搭建了平台，展示了各国科学家在真菌毒素防控领域所做出的努力和最新成果，加强了全球对真菌毒素的认识，拓展了全球网络合作，有助于推动全球真菌毒素防控技术、管理技术和产业的发展。

2nd MycoKey International Conference – Integrated Solutions for Mycotoxin Management is held in Wuhan, a beautiful river city in China, on September 16 to 18, 2018
Co-sponsored by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Society of Plant Protection and Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, this conference aims to develop innovative and comprehensive solutions and urge the stakeholders to continuously and effectively manage mycotoxin in the food and feed production.
With the global warming, changing of cultivation systems and polarization of toxic fungi in recent years, the ever increasing mycotoxin pollution has imposed huge challenges to the global food safety, economy and trading. Mycokey is a special inter-governmental cooperation project jointly supported by China's National Key R&D Plan and European Commission's Horizon 2020.
This conference provides the governments, scientific researchers, and enterprises with a platform for academic exchanges. Professionals and experts from a number of countries, such as China, Italy, Austria, US, and Japan, have made in-depth discussions and exchanges and delivered important speeches on mycotoxin monitoring and warning and field control, diversity and monitoring of toxic fungi, functional genomics of toxic fungi, mycotoxin detecting technologies, post-harvest toxin governance, and food processing and toxicology.
Gerd Schatzmayr, a research director from BIOMIN Research Center in Austria, delivers a speech with the title of Inhibitory Effect of Lactobacillus Plantarum on Aspergillus Flavus Growth and Aflatoxin Production on a break-out session on Tuesday afternoon.
This conference has built a platform for domestic and international exchanges and discussions on comprehensive administration of mycotoxin, demonstrated the efforts and latest achievements made by the scientists from various countries in the field of mycotoxin control, increased global awareness of mycotoxin control, and expanded the cooperation among global networks, making great contributions to the development of global mycotoxin control technologies, management techniques, and industries.
