Dubai: Khalid Mohammad Sharif Al Awadi, director of Dubai Municipality’s Food Safety Department, has received an award for food safety leadership from the International Association for Food Protection.
The award was conferred on him at the annual conference of the association in the state of Missouri in the USA.
The opening ceremony of the conference, which the association has been hosting annually for the past 100 years, was attended by about 2,000 food safety and security experts from across the world, the civic body said in a press release on Thursday.
